What company would be cheapest to buy a vacation package from?

amelli asked:

I was looking to go to Hawaii. I have only looked into Priceline.com and they seem reasonable. Has anyone had any experience dealing with them? This is my first time booking a vacation and am not sure if I should buy one online or pay a little more and go to an agent. I might be going to an AAA office today but I am afraid I will just be wasting my time as they are not as cheap.

I need some advice.. thanks!

What I would do if I was in your shoes is, go to a travel agent and explain to them what you are looking for….let them find details on flights, hotels, price etc. Thank them and tell them that you will think about it. Go home, and with the information you have got from the travel agent, check online and see which is the cheapest. Lots of people do that.

A travel agent is not a car salesman.
    We are service people.
If you take the advise of the person who said to get all of our experience behind you and then book it yourself, that is terrible.

There are times when an online company may have a lower price than travel agents. In 99 percent of those cases, if we go to our suppliers they will match the online price. We need to fax over the online offer.

There are reasons for this beyond my comprehension, but it is not because we are making great profits on your vacation. It is because some of the online suppliers are tossing some profits away in lieu of selling advertizing on their web sites.

Visit your local travel agent. Be honest with them if you see it cheaper somewhere and see if they can match it.You are better off if you have an expert helping you.

I strongly recommended you to go with CBV,
    They are the cheapest.
I enjoyed my 6 vacations with this.

    Have a look,

Argh Priceline is a crapshoot – you don’t really know what you’re getting. I would say use a corporate travel broker – they are cheaper & more reliable in terms of quality & knowing what you get.

There is one company I know that has a 5 day package for a family of 4 (or less) for around $400 total (not per person), plus you get a free airfare pass. These places book for large corporations in bulk so they have the best pricing by far, but individuals can buy their packages too.

I included a link for this package below – good luck!
