Help! Can anyone recommend a tropical destination wedding location?
ladymai21 asked:
My fiance and I want to get married this summer. We want something low-stress, affordable, and elegant. We have lived in the United States, New Zealand, Portugal, Lebanon, and Japan within the past few years. Right now we are in Japan, but our permanent home is in Michigan. We have decided that we want a small destination wedding in a tropical location…but there are SO many websites and places to choose some. Please, if you got married in a tropical destination can you give me some feedback??? We are toying with the idea of Jamaica, Hawaii, and Mexico right now. We want to make a decision soon but would really like some feedback from someone personal experience. We would like to spend under $5000 for the all-inclusive wedding package, if possible.

The only tropical destination I’ve been to is Hawaii. I enjoyed it a lot and plan on taking my sweetheart there one day. The weather is always nice, and there are a lot of fun trails to hike and lots of outdoor recreation. If you do decide to go to Maui, take a walk through the bamboo forest. My experience was quite euphoric.

Key West Florida for $5000 you could have a dream get away there, it is so beautiful, the people down there as a whole are probably the friendliest I have ever met. White sand, still clear water streets lined with beautiful palm trees. Great food If you go, I recommend eating the Conch fritters at Sloppy Joes. Bars and nightclubs, para sailing, fishing, jet ski’s, they have an awesome museum that they claim has haunted relics and one of the world’s most unusual cemetaries…Okay I’ll stop before this becomes an advertisement, but I highly recommend it.

Both Jamaica and Mexico is great, Hawaii on the other hand would be a great spot to get married but Hawaii is way too expensive. Its a lot of money to go there and its even more to get married there. Try going to Jamaica its not common for weddings, mexico on the other hand is very common. Its cheap in Mexico but its not even close to being as romantic as Jamaica. Jamaica has a better view and is just perfect for any wedding.

How about Langkawi, a beautiful island in Malaysia. It’s cheap and the people there are very friendly. I knew of several couples who got married in Langkawi…..and they love it. Checked out the website for more info.

I was married recently and my wedding ceremony and honeymonn were held in the British Virgin Islands on two different islands. My wedding ceremony was held on the island of Tortola. We got married in a church but right across the road was the beach. It was so romantic. We stayed at Caries Island Comfort Inn and this place has the most incredible I have evern seen. It is 3 mins driving from the beach and we had a blast.
For the honeymoon, we went to Anegada. This was a great choice for us because it is quiet. We spent days on the beach as our beach house was fifty feet from it and we had romantic nights to ourselves or having fresh caught lobster for two.
Any resort that you select will be able to help you plan your iceremony n terms of a wedding planner, wedding packages and other things to make your wedding memorable.
Check out the website and give the British Virgin Islands a look.
Congratulations!!!
