Getting married in Hawaii?

missnymph8 asked:

Anyone ever get married in Hawaii? My boyfriend and I decided to do so because I’ve always wanted to get married on a beach, and we decided to do a smaller, more personal wedding. I’ve been looking at wedding packages and I’m so lost. Any good companies I can go through or should I do everything individually myself? I really just dont know where to start, and were getting married in 6 months. I know thats a while from now, but I like to get things set, and planned quickly. I’m kinda OCD about stuff.

my fiances first wedding was on a beach in hawaii. he and his ex were stationed there in the usmc.
they just got an official and trotted down to the beach with friends to have the ceremony. then stayed and partied the rest of the day and night

My sister got married there a few years back and set up everything online, right down to the hair dresser and minister. Those 6 months are going to go faster than you think, start planning now! Start with a location. and take it from there. Make sure to get all of the paperwork taken care of as well.

    Good luck!

My aunt got married on the beach in Waikiki in Honolulu at an Outrigger hotel (I think that’s the hotel). It was the first wedding I was in. I was a jr. bridesmaid.

My hubby and I did it…we got married on Oahu on a grassy hill overlooking the beach/ocean…In Waialae Beach Park, just outside Honolulu. We went with the wedding planners at who were absolutely amazing about every little detail and very affordable. And the photos are to die for. Can’t recommend them highly enough. And what’s better than getting married on the beach in Hawaii??! Check them out online and see what you think. Congrats and have fun with your planning!

Hi. Yes, I can see why you are a little lost. Looking at all the sites. First of all…..have you decided WHICH island you want for your wedding?

My recommendation would be Kauai or Maui. I would not recommend Oahu because it is so crowded. Once you have decided on an island, then I would research packages on those islands such as:

    OR:

These are only a FEW of the many websites. You can always look at hotel/wedding packages too!! Lots to research so good thing to get on it soon! I don’t think 6 months is too far ahead to plan. Especially planning a destination wedding!

Good luck! I just love Hawaii. You won’t be disappointed!
