free honeymoon?

auntjenny03 asked:

I got a call from this place called “Southern Bride” today telling me my fiance’ & I had been registered to win a free honeymoon package and we were chosen. I don’t remember registering for anything but I may have.. I’ve registered for all kind of brosures and stuff. So basically she said we have to attend one of their bridal shows to pick up the info (i guess) on it. She named all these different places that are all inclusive places like the bahamas, hawaii, etc. We just have to pay for our flights. I’m wanting to know if anyone has ever heard of this or if you think its legit or not??

I haven’t heard of anything like that. The only thing I can suggest is to read all the fine print on every paper they give you and check the Better Business Bureau

I’m thinking this is some sort of a scam. The reason I say that is about 5 years I won a trip for 2 to Tahiti. I never got a phone call. I first received an e-mail telling me, and then a couple of days later I received a pkg in the mail. The cover letter said I was a potential winner. Inside were about 6 pages of legal documents, along with a time they would phone for a skill testing question. You are not declared a winner until after you get the question correct. I had 4 weeks to return all of the forms I’d signed, along with my travel agents information. This was totally legit. Worth over 15,000. USD
I’ve had phone calls where they say I’ve won a trip. When they want something in return, you must be wary. Any legit, free trip, is exactly that. Free.
