Flying to Hawaii Soon. Tips?
Britt S. asked:
I’m almost 16, and will be going Hawaii w/ my school band program, and I wanted to know if anyone has some suggestions for my carry-on, or just anything must-have wise…. Any other tips for air travel would help, too (ex: check-in stuff, etc)

HI I TOTALLLY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE AIRPLANES SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUUUUUUUUCH THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!! OOOOMMMG!!!! IM GOING ON ONE IN JUNE!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…
……k so whateves spaz attack lol!!! well now I’ll actualy aanswer your question:
My obvious suggestion would be going into first class but i dont think you’re going there are you???? lol!!!
Bring those travel pillows theones that go around your neck! They’re soooo comfy and relaxing. And they’re really easy to bring in a small bag.
Wear layers, layers, and mooore layers. When I go on an airplane it goes steeming hot ones and then freasing cold next and so on. Example: wear a t-shirt, long sleece top, a hoodie, sweater and coat.
Try to get a seat near the window ask the people at the counter at the registration line to get your seat picked out. If you get a seat near the window you can have extra comfort since you have that whole wall to lay down on.
Bring stuff that keeps you busy: books, magazines, ipod, cell phone, portable dvd player.
Drink lots, and lots of water!!!! And avoid alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!Try to eat a lot of the food and sleep……ZZzzzzz…
Walk aroind every once in a while and “explore” the airplane!!! Lol! me and my freind did that once and we sneaked into first class lol!!!!! Its fun!!!!!
Wash your face sometimes to keep refreashed….
WEll thats pretty much it!!!!! Enjoy your trip!!!!!Bye!!!!
AHHHH I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEE AIRPLANES OOOOMMMMMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for airplanes, it’s a long ride from anywhere in the mainland (about 5 hours from california). Food is definately a must for the plane, especially is they don’t feed you. Bring slippers, or flip-flops as you might know them as. Sunscreen if you burn easily, and remember to always reapply! I’m a local and I go through about a bottle every couple months.
As for what to do, check online for any concerts going on. Reggae/Jawaiian bands are big here. Kokua fest is comming up, Jack Johnson is playing, but tickets are sold out. Pipeline cafe may have an all ager going on. Waikiki at night is pretty interesting, there’s a bunch of street vendors on Kalakaua, and everything they sell is free! (however it is always nice to give a “donation”)

Just bring a bathing suit, sunglasses, digital camera, and enjoy Hawaii to the fullest! Have fun with the band too
