Air & Sea Show: Honoring Our U.S. Veterans

Inside the proper care of Mickey Markoff,mid-air and Sea Show was obviously a familiar sight on Fort Lauderdale beach for 13 years. It ended its run in 2007 and apparently enough people missed it during the past 2 yrs to warrant returning engagement. It can be being revived and also the new version will be called Air Lauderdale Beach Fest.

Dates to the new show are set for April 24 and 25 of 2010. They were announced yesterday by local businessmen and new promoters, Stan Smith and Steve Savor. Most significant obstacles the Town of Fort Lauderdale had with this particular event was the expense of donning the big event. Smith and Savor have agreed to pick up all related costs including police and clean up. There will probably be nominal fee to attend case.

The Air and Sea show will coincide with Fleet Week and give a 10 day tribute to our nation’s military. Case traditionally brought a huge selection of thousands of people to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale to look at an extraordinary display of sea maneuvers and air power. It’s nice to see how the popular event are going to be returning. It had been missed.

“This might be one of the neatest events, among the funnest events you can put on,” Mayor Jack Seiler said.” …..Really for the community it gives us to be able to, one, honor the military and show our appreciation towards the military. It also brings the city together, as friends, to celebrate for the beach. The impact we would like it to have right now is with this economy, it’ll be tremendous to own crowds back on Fort Lauderdale beach.
