A Winters Day

Well I am sitting here in my sisters living room after having spent the better part of yesterday in the air trying to make my way across the country during one of the coldest winters in years. The fact that I am leaving Southern California to spend two weeks in Canada in below zero weather is a testimony to the draw of family during the holidays. But it could be worse, I could be laying in new hardwood floors or even trying to finish a floor for a client, on my hands and knees. So I guess I will just count my blessings.

I guess I should be grateful that in the middle of all of this, I am still sitting here at my laptop, getting the days work done on my niche websites. It may feel a little weird to think about my grass seed website when the scene outside my window is several inches of the cold white stuff. It may seem like an exercise in futility to even consider the material, but heck, the same folks who read my grass seed website during the winter normally will still want to see what to plan out for the spring. Or maybe just feel better looking at grass seed ideas when that north wind is blowing the snow up the windowsill in their homes and they wish they were elsewhere.

On the other hand, I love to think about finding cheap camping equipment just about any time of the year. With a sister who loves to travel just around anywhere in the world, I probably come across as a real piker for experience. However, since I do love to see as much of North America from the viewpoint of a tent flap, I think that anytime I can add more info to my website on some great deals in camping equipment, I am a happy gal. And you know, it doesn’t matter that right now the wind chill factor gets the outside temp to around 15 below zero. Somewhere in the world, it is perfect camping weather. A beach in Mexico, a mountainside in Australia or perhaps a little meadow on the plains of Africa. Somewhere, you can camp right now and see the world without a lot of people, with just nature.
